About
Hey there everyone! My name is Patrick and I have been in the field of health and wellness for about 15 years.
I began my fitness journey in the military after high school, and after 10 years of serivce, I decided there was something out there for me to do that would serve a greater purpose. In 2013 I became a personal trainer at Equinox in West Village, NYC and fell in love with movement. The more educated I became, the more focus I put on the area that exists between strength and rehab. Certifications became more about owning your own body rather than applying yourself to machines. I sought out to start my own business as a coach and acquired certifications in StrongFirst Kettlebell Training, Animal Flow, Foundation Training, Functional Range Conditioning, and USAW Olympic Lifting. In an effort to better serve my client base, I decided to go to school for massage therapy at Swedish Institute in NYC. This allowed me to understand more about what was going on with my clients within our training programs.
During my time at Equinox and within my own private training, I began to see a gap. Something was missing, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to find a way to serve my clients at a higher level. So I went back to school to earn my Doctorate in Chiropractic Care. At the same time, I started getting a few friends together to talk about a space where not only high-quality trainers could gather, but maybe doctors too. The holistic side of care had started to mirror western medicine to me, and I wanted to find a way to bridge that gap. A place where like-minded practitioners could bring clients, refer clients, and most importantly, communicate with each other about how care and training is going when clients overlap. That communication elevates care, includes the patient in the decision-making process, and makes each clinician better at diagnosing, prescribing, and applying treatment. Everyone can learn to be better as a team instead of operating in isolation.
That's how Range was developed. It's still growing today, and I look forward to serving my community to the best of our ability.
